A Lifelong Pursuit of Light

Schooled in England David first fully realized the wonder of light when living in the landscapes of the great English painter John Constable. The contrast with the warmth and brilliance of the American west, and its many moods, is a continuing and endless revelation. Studies with Colorado landscape artists Dan Young and Stephen Datz have added further insights. Plein air teacher Bob Rohm has been an inspiration.

Davids work is seen at the Blue Pig Gallery in Palisade Colorado. He teaches "The Everyday Landscape" at the gallery and in his studio. He is a firm believer in the need for dedication, study and the value of work to narrow the gap between vision and result.
